Neighbourhood Watch NT is part of an iconic Australian brand that is easily recognised and often associated with fond childhood memories and street signs dotted about the country. Neighbourhood Watch NT has been operating in the Territory for over 30 years with the mission to create safer and more connected communities.
In 2018, True North was engaged by Neighbourhood Watch NT to develop a communication plan. The plan assessed the quality and effectiveness of current communication materials and provided a strategy for the organisation’s communication going forward.
The plan included a range of suggested tools and tactics to assist Neighbourhood Watch NT communicate more clearly, professionally and effectively.
Following the completion of the plan, True North has assisted Neighbourhood Watch NT implement a number of the recommendations including refreshing their aging brand. We partnered with Studio B Designs to revise the existing logo, design new templates and develop a brand style guide.
The new brand is a step forward towards achieving Neighbourhood Watch NT’s goals and provides the organisation with a new look that is fresh and modern, representing their currency and vision for the future.
Lastly, a brand style guide was created which details how the brand should be applied. Having a style guide is a great tool to refer to when creating company documents as it specifies exactly where the logo should be placed, how large it should be, includes details about the colour scheme, font types, font colours and sizes. A style guide ensures company materials are consistent and the brand is used correctly.
The rebrand was one component of a wider suite of communication work True North is delivering.
