Stakeholder engagement

True North has provided stakeholder engagement support for various Darwin City Deal projects since 2018.

The $200 million Darwin City Deal is a ten year project between the Australian and Northern Territory governments and City of Darwin that outlines initiatives to create a vibrant and liveable tropical city.

True North worked closely with the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics (DIPL) and head contractor PTM Group during construction of the shade structure for the Cavenagh Street Heat Mitigation Trial and the design, development and construction for the revitalisation of Austin Lane and Spain Place.

Our role involved providing strategic advice to the project team, engaging directly with stakeholders throughout each project through regular communication, door knocks and meetings, assisting to mitigate issues relating to construction and reporting on the outcomes.

Through this process we have developed strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Darwin CBD and a comprehensive understanding of issues relating to the city centre.

True North is currently working with DIPL to support the stakeholder engagement for the Civic and State Square redevelopment project as part of the Darwin City Deal.
