True North was engaged (as Michels Warren Munday) to review and update Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park’s Media Industry Guidelines, previously developed in 2005, in consultation with all key stakeholders.
The extensive consultation process included time invested up front with senior Anangu traditional owners to understand their values, aspirations and concerns, interviews with key stakeholders from across the media, arts and tourism industries and workshops to bring together key stakeholders, parks staff and Anangu.
This project won ‘Best Investor or Community Relations Campaign’ in the 2019 Mumbrella CommsCon Awards and ‘Highly Commended’ in the Indigenous Engagement category at the 2019 IAP2 Australasia Core Values Awards.
