Strategic communication support and implementation

There is no doubt the aviation industry has been hit hard by COVID-19. However, airports around Australia still had important work to do – ensuring that essential workers and commercial goods could make their way around Australia and keep our economy moving.

NT Airports recognise the importance of its work outside of aviation and focused on communicating with employees, stakeholders and the community during COVID-19.

During the peak of COVID-19, NT Airports needed our support to manage their communication and media response for their three airports – Darwin International Airport, Alice Springs Airport and Tennant Creek Airport.

We developed a best practice COVID-19 communication strategy to guide all NT Airport’s communication activities. We quickly scaled up our resources to provide in-house communication and media support. We had to be agile, strategic and able to adapt to the changing policy environment to meet the needs of NT Airports and the community. During this process we became trusted advisors to the executive team.
