The Darwin Symphony Orchestra (DSO) is a not for profit organisation comprising of 65 volunteer musicians and a small group of professional staff. DSO has been a treasured cultural icon in the Territory since 1989 and recently celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2019.
True North in partnership with Studio B Designs prepared a concept and design for DSO’s 2020 Season Brochure. DSO was after a modern, fresh look and feel with a sense of fun for the concept. Our work involved project managing the graphic design process, developing a look and feel concept in line with DSO’s brief, design of the 34-page brochure and proofreading existing content.
We are long term supporters of the orchestra and have provided ongoing marketing support since early 2019. Our work has involved partnering with Studio B on the design of DSO’s 2021-24 Strategic Plan, as well as developing a three-year marketing strategy to help the organisation achieve its strategic goals. The marketing strategy included an analysis of the current operating environment, tools and tactics and a comprehensive implementation plan.
